EU Kids Online 2018
Our researchers from the Laboratory of Interactive Technologies studied how children and young people use the Internet. Their research was conducted as a part of the international project team implementing EU Kids Online 2018. Polska The Times daily wrote: “The Polish part of the EU Kids Online 2018 survey was carried out by a research team headed by Adam Mickiewicz University professor Jacek Pyżalski together with Aldona Zdrodowska (OPI PIB), Dr. Katarzyna Abramczyk (OPI PIB) and Dr. Łukasz Tomczyk (Pedagogical University of Cracow) in partnership with Fundacja Orange.”
It turned out that young people spend, on average, more than five hours a day online, staying in touch with friends, listening to music or watching videos, mainly via smartphones. The research report will be published in early 2019.
This year’s edition of EU Kids Online was the 4th edition of the survey. It has been carried out in parallel in most European countries.
