OPI aims to facilitate fast access to actual and complex information about polish science. The Centre owns an assemblage of data, which can be used for developing a country’s science and innovative policies and also to create analyses and statistics. OPI’s work is connected with raising the country scientific information norms to those of the European Union.

POLISH SCIENCE DATABASE:

A database held by OPI since 1991. It is the most complete and actual database of this kind in the country, freely available to users. From the moment it was put on the internet in 1999, we have recorded a growing number of interest both from institutions and individual users.

DATABASE CONTENT:

• Institutions- Scientific and R&D (Public and private higher education centres, PAN and resort institutions), central administration bodies, non-governmental organizations responsible for the shape and implementation of national scientific policy, gatherings, scientific associations and foundations connected with science.
• Scientists- Polish people (at least with a PhD degree),  polish scientists working abroad, foreigners working in polish scientific and R&D institutions, PAN, PAU,  also academic advisors and reviewers.
  
• Scientific thesis (SYNABA system)- Thesis, R&D, doctoral thesis, habilitation thesis
  
• Scientific conferences, showcases-  Organised by polish scientific institutions
  
• Ministry of Science and Higher Education research projects:  Research projects (own and supervisory), development research projects, ordered research projects, aimed research projects

RESEARCH EQUIPMENT DATABASE

The research equipment database is a project created by the Information Processing Centre on behalf of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, aiming to create a freely available database containing information about the research resources owned by scientific units, in order to popularise them within a wider amount of users, both scientific and business inclined.

We hope that the database will provide you with new contacts, as well as new research projects, and that it will broaden the use of research equipment.
